Tonino Esposito, MSW, PhD
Tonino Esposito, MSW, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor at the Université de Montréal and Adjunct Professor at McGill University’s School of Social Work, and holds a Tier II Canadian Research Chair in Social Services for Vulnerable Children. He is also a research member of McGill University’s Centre for Research on Children and Families, the Centre de recherche et d’expertise Jeunes en difficulté and the Canadian Consortium on Child & Youth Trauma, board member of the Child Welfare League of Canada and Associate Editor of Child Abuse & Neglect. His work is focused on better understanding the broader systemic, socioeconomic, and neighbourhood factors that keep children chronically involved in child welfare and negatively impact parental capacity. Many of his research projects consider the long-term service trajectories and outcomes of children involved with child welfare, as well as the influences of social spending, socioeconomic vulnerabilities, and neighbourhood-level services on children and families.
