Nicole L.A. Catherine, MSc, PhD

Dr. Nicole Catherine is an Assistant Professor and Associate Director, Children’s Health Policy Centre (CHPC) in the Faculty of Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University (SFU). Dr. Catherine also holds the Canada Research Chair in Child Health Equity and Policy, Tier 2. Working closely with policymakers, practitioners and Indigenous communities her research focuses on three areas:

(1) Ensuring better inclusion of children who are experiencing disadvantage — in both research and policy-making;

(2) Promoting health and wellbeing in early childhood through public health programming; and

(3) Informing the development and evaluation of interventions that address avoidable early childhood adversities and health inequities.
