Kristen Letkemen

Kristen is a Student Research Assistant with the Childhood Adversity and Resilience Research Training Platform (CARe RTP) at the University of Manitoba.

In 2011, Kristen completed her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Psychology, at the University of Manitoba. She completed her Pre-Master of Social Work in 2022 and is now a student in the Advanced Level Master of Social Work program at the University of Manitoba.

Kristen has worked on the front line of the social service field for the past 13 years in the realm of child welfare, mental health, and substance use dependence. Kristen’s main research interests include mental health and substance use prevention, intervention and advocacy, child maltreatment and resilience, children’s rights, and social justice.
