Kayla Kirby, BSc
Kayla is in her first year of her MSc in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina, supervised by Dr. R Nicholas Carleton. As an undergraduate student and prior to her graduate studies, Kayla has conducted quantitative and qualitative research with families and worked as a children’s worker in a second stage shelter in the community. Her research interests lie in the health and wellness of children and families exposed to high stress and traumatic experiences as well as the prevention and treatment of post traumatic stress injuries, anxiety, and mood disorders. Her master’s thesis will examine the perceived impact of parental RCMP careers and consequent challenges on their children’s health.
