Arinze completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Environmental Resource Management at the University of Calabar and a Master of Science in Applied Public Health at the University of Central Lancashire, where he developed expertise in GIS and spatial analysis applied to environmental and health research. He is now a doctoral candidate in Health at Dalhousie University. His research interrogates the structural and systemic barriers that shape healthcare access for displaced and vulnerable populations, situating spatial and policy analysis within a broader health equity framework. His dissertation, under the supervision of Dr. Ifeyinwa Mbakogu, examines the structural determinants of healthcare access among internally displaced persons in Nigeria, with implications for policy and service delivery in protracted displacement contexts. Alongside his doctoral research, Arinze serves as a Teaching Assistant across multiple faculties at Dalhousie, including Health, Science, Pharmacy, and Occupational Therapy, and works as a Harm Reduction Worker at the North End Community Health Centre and as a Community Living Coach at Autism Nova Scotia, grounding his scholarship in sustained frontline practice.
