Research Associate with the CARe RTP

Ana is a Research Associate with the Childhood Adversity and Resilience (CARe) Research Team. Prior to joining the CARe Team, she was an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Cali, Colombia (2006-2021). During this time, Dr. Osorio led the Research Program on Measurement of Childhood Well-being,PIMBN (2017-2021) and directed the Master’s program in Social Policy (2019-2021).

Dr. Osorio’s research interests primarily focus on the construction and analysis of child well-being indicators, Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and socioeconomic determinants of child and maternal health. Dr. Osorio has managed several projects aimed at measuring and monitoring children’s well-being, collaborating closely with both public and private organizations at international and national levels.

With over twenty years of research experience, she has developed expertise in all phases of research, including research design, data collection, quantitative and qualitative analysis, and effective communication skills for knowledge translation to various audiences.

Ana is passionate about effectively communicating and visualizing project results in creative and accessible ways for a broad audience. This includes designing infographics, posters, websites, schemes, figures, charts, and social media posts.
