Lead Physician
Dr. Amber Miners is a Pediatrician who came to Nunavut first in 2003, and moved permanently in 2010 with her family. She is a consulting Pediatrician and Royal College Diplomate in child maltreatment pediatrics. She is the lead physician at the Umingmak Child Advocacy Centre in Iqaluit, and the Territorial Child Abuse Physician Lead, department of family wellness, Nunavut. She holds faculty positions at the University of Ottawa and Memorial University. During her career, she has worked tirelessly towards combating the negative effects of childhood adversity, and believes this can only be done in partnership with others.
