Our research reflects our commitment to improve the lives of children and youth who experience violence and mental health challenges, as well as the lives of those that love them, and the health professionals that serve them. We utilize qualitative, quantitative and mixed method research designs to: (a) characterize the prevalence, determinants, and impacts of childhood violence and mental health challenges; (b) identify and evaluate strategies to improve the efficiency with which individuals receive evidence-informed programs to reduce their suffering; as well as (c) identify and evaluate new interventions that can assist in reducing the impacts of violence and mental health challenges across the life course.
