Dr. Karlee Sapoznik Evans is the Deputy Manitoba Advocate for Children and Youth, responsible for research, policy, systemic advocacy, serious injury and child death reviews and investigations, and public education.
She has served as part of anti-slavery, genocide prevention, reconciliation, social justice, and human rights projects and task forces around the world.
She completed her PhD at York University’s Harriet Tubman Institute. Her research interests include children’s rights, modern slavery, and the history and legacies of Residential Schools.
