Sadie Wood, BSW
Sadie is a Master of Social Work student at the University of Regina. She completed her Bachelor of Social Work in 2023 at the University of Regina. Following convocation, she worked as a Child Protection Worker with the Government of Saskatchewan, where she investigated allegations of child abuse and neglect. She currently works as an Elementary School Social Worker, supporting children and their families within the school setting.
Sadie is passionate about engaging in research to support and strengthen the work she does with children, youth, and their families. Her areas of research interest include: adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), the effect trauma has on children’s development and self-image, how socio-economic and cultural factors affect individuals’ access to resources, resilience in children, and evidence-based prevention/intervention practices that promote positive outcomes for youth and their families.
