Alexandra Guemili
Systemic Advocacy Specialist
Alexandra Guemili (she/her) is a dedicated change-maker committed to addressing systemic inequities and fostering social justice. Based on Treaty 1 Territory, Alexandra has nearly two decades of professional experience spanning non-profit and government sectors. She has worked in diverse domains, including international development, disability services, child welfare, employment and income assistance, and justice. In her role as Systemic Advocacy Specialist with the Manitoba Advocate for Children and Youth (MACY) since 2020, Alexandra has worked to amplify the voices of children, youth, and families, prioritizing meaningful collaboration and actionable change. She brings an academic foundation to her work that includes an Associate of Arts in Women’s Studies from Langara College, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Art and Technology from Simon Fraser University, and a Master of Social Work with a focus on leadership, management, and policy from the University of Manitoba.
