Research Assistant with the CARe RTP

Lauren is a PhD student in community health sciences at the University of Manitoba and is a research assistant with the CARe team and the CARe Research Training Platform (RTP) since 2023. She holds a Master of Science degree in community health sciences (2025) and a Bachelor of Science Honour’s degree in Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland (2021). Lauren’s academic experience has centred on psychiatric epidemiology and mental health while her professional experience has focused on investigating risk factors and poor outcomes associated with child maltreatment and household challenges. She primarily utilizes quantitative research methods and has training in several statistical softwares. Lauren is also a member of the Canadian Academy of Psychiatric Epidemiology as the website and social media representative.
